Decline of Bordeaux benefits other brands

If the most significant trend of 2012 was the decline of Bordeaux, for 2013 it appears to be the rise of several smaller categories of wine, according to analysts at Liv-ex, the fine wine trading and information company.

Its indices of 100 leading wines remained almost static for the third consecutive month as varieties from outside Bordeaux continued to compensate for the dominant French region’s steady fall.
